
Lombok Dispatch is a platform for voices from the island—stories rooted in people, places, and lived experiences. We welcome contributors who are passionate about telling stories that matter.
Whether you’re a student, traveler, researcher, or local resident, if you have a story to share about Lombok, we’d love to hear from you.
What We’re Looking For
We accept original writings focused on:
1. Local Initiatives and Community Action
Stories about grassroots movements, education and literacy programs, youth or women empowerment, sustainability, conservation, organic farming, zero-waste practices, or community-based tourism.
2. History and Traditions
Pieces that explore cultural heritage, local rituals, traditional arts, oral histories, or lesser-known folklore from around Lombok.
3. Local Issues
Thoughtful narratives on the local issues, could be about challenges and changes within local communities, whether social, environmental, economic or every day news.
Submission Guidelines
- Articles must be original and unpublished elsewhere.
- Word count: 500 to 1200 words.
- Language: English.
- Include at least one original photo relevant to the topic.
- Avoid promotional or commercial tone.
- Add a short author bio (2–3 sentences).

Review Process
All submissions will be reviewed by our editorial team. We may suggest edits to improve clarity, tone, or formatting. If your piece is accepted, we’ll notify you before publishing.
We currently do not offer paid contributions. However, accepted writings will be published on our platform and promoted across our social channels with full credit to the author.
